• An amendment was unanimously approved to Chapter 25 entitled Licenses, Permits and Miscellaneous Business Regulations of the Aurora Code of Ordinances to establish an Aurora Business Registration Program.

The amendment requires all Aurora-based businesses to register with the City. Not requiring all Aurora-based businesses to register results in limited data on the business community available to city government staff members. Such data can be extremely beneficial in the delivery of services from public safety personnel.

The Aurora Business Registration Program will be a centralized data-gathering system that will capture public safety data elements, identified by staff members that will be accessible when needed for the provision of city services.

Registration is free with a penalty for non-compliance.
