“Introduction to Medical Cannabis” will be presented at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Holiday Inn Express, 2055 Weisbrook Drive in Oswego.
The public is invited. Admission is $25.
The guest speaker will be Rick Niksic, education and outreach coordinator from Greenhouse Medical Cannabis dispensaries. Greenhouse operates dispensaries in Morris, Deerfield, Mokena, and Litchfield.
Niksic will define medical cannabis, its use, how it works in human bodies, why it is a safe alternative to prescription drugs, and the laws in Illinois. He will take questions.
