The Oswego Senior Center, 84 Templeton Drive, Oswego, will be host to many events for seniors.

The Oswego Senior Center is gradually opening some center-based activities in addition to online participation through Zoom. All on-site activities strictly will follow Health Department guidelines including appropriate social distance, use of masks, taking temperatures, frequent hand-washing, sanitizing procedures and self-health checklist. • Medicare Forum, Wednesday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m..

The Oswego Senior Center will be host to the Annual Medicare Forum for seniors. If you will turn 65 years, or want to learn changes for 2021, be sure to join us on site, or virtual through Zoom for a most informative forum from a panel of Medicare experts to learn Medicare basics, 2021 changes for Medicare, information about supplement plans, Medicare Advantage Plans, how veteran assistance can help veterans and spouses, what to expect at the hospital with Medicare and how rehab works with Medicare. Panel experts are from Age Guide, Kendall County Veterans Assistance Commission, and Alden of Waterford Rehab.. Alden of Waterford will provide refreshments for on-site participants. • OSC Technology Lab through Zoom:

Oswego Senior Center is offering a technology Zoom class with instructor Gary Tollaksen every Thursday at 11 a.m.. Seniors who need help with a PC or electronic device, or have questions about programs or E-mail usage, should join in. • Chair Exercise:

The Oswego Senior Center Chair Exercise Zoom class from the comfort of your home. We will get moving on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. with “Senior Stretch” video. Thursdays at 9 p.m., join us for “Senior Strength” video. All ages invited! For this virtual class, you must join through an E-mail invitation. Call 630-554-5602 for your E-mail invite.

• Veterans Education Series:

The event will be Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 10 a.m., on-site at Oswego Senior Center, 84 Templeton Drive for a presentation, followed by Q&A on benefits for veterans and spouses. Learn what your options are and new available benefits. Our presenter will be Karylin Clevenger of Veterans Assistance Commission (VAC). Seating is limited. Advance registration, masks, temperature, and self-health check, are required for on-site participation.
