Mission Week, Aurora Christian School students help

One-hundred and fifty Aurora Christian School students and teachers started a five-day Mission Week observance Monday, April 3.

A delegation of 10 students and two teachers volunteered to load groceries into guests’ vehicles at Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry in Aurora.

The team was among 150 students and teachers leaving classrooms Monday through Friday at the Aurora school to serve at sites in Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, and Yorkville.

In addition to Interfaith, work sites included Wayside Cross Ministries, Jennings Terrace retirement home, Wayside Cross Ministries and Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, Aurora; Holstead Retirement Community, Batavia; Marklund Home, Geneva; and Caring Hands, Yorkville.
