The Village of Montgomery, in cooperation with Kane County, unveiled its new charging station for electric vehicles at Village Hall, 200 N. River Street December 5. The charging station was a partnership project with Kane County to provide the physical charging station and the Village providing the manpower and supplies to install the station.
According to Jerad Chipman, Senior Planner for the Village of Montgomery, “This has been a great partnership with Kane County to install a charging station that will serve as necessary infrastructure for the future of automotive travel.”
Note that individuals will need a Chargepoint account to utilize the station. The station is the first of its kind in Montgomery and will provide residents and visitors an easy and affordable site to charge their vehicles.
