Officer Douglas Rashkow’s presentation “Crisis Intervention Training” will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital, 300 Randall Road, Geneva, Building 351 in conference room 1, 2, 3. Topics will include: Crisis intervention skills; De-escalating a crisis; Tips to resolving conflict; mental health resources. Officer Rashkow is CIT Liaison at Aurora Police Department.

National Alliance on Mental Illness Kane-South, DeKalb & Kendall Counties (NAMI KDK), an affiliate of National Alliance on Mental Illness sponsors the Saturday Coffee presentation. The public is welcome to attend NAMI KDK free Saturday Coffees which offers various topics and locations. Saturday Coffee offers light refreshments and explains what NAMI KDK offers in mental health education, advocacy, and support for families and individuals living with mental health issues.
