The YMCA and Naperville Park District, through the generous support of community donors and volunteers, will continue the annual tradition of providing a special Christmas meal for Naperville seniors and families in need. Volunteers will deliver meals to the homes of Naperville seniors and families on the morning of Friday, Dec. 24. Reheating instructions for meals will be provided.

To make a meal reservation, contact Robert Fields at rlfields@ymcachicago.org or at 630-579-5705 and provide your name, home address, phone number, E-mail and the number of meals needed. There is a maximum of two meals per household. Those interested in receiving a meal are encouraged to make a reservation as soon as possible, because meals will be provided for up to 300 people and reservations may fill before the December 16 deadline. Recipients must be Naperville residents and must be at home on Christmas Eve between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon to receive their meals.

Donations to help support this annual holiday initiative are being sought from community members. To make a donation, visit www.napervilleparks.org and select the online registration link. From there, click on the “Donations” tab at the top of the webpage; there is a link for the Community Christmas Meal.

“Providing Christmas meals has been a treasured community tradition for many years,” added Stephanie Kuzelis, executive director of the Fry Family YMCA. “A special thank you to the donors and volunteers who bring joy to seniors and those in need this holiday season.”
