National Night Out August 7 stops in Montgomery neighborhoods

Neighborhoods throughout Montgomery are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for National Night Out, Tuesday, Aug. 7, which is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
This year the Montgomery Police Department along with the Montgomery, Aurora Township, Oswego, Sugar Grove, and Bristol-Kendall Fire Departments will visit the following neighborhoods:
• Montgomery Fire/Montgomery Police Department: Brentwood/Victoria, 6 p.m. to 6:25 p.m.; Main/Jefferson, 6:35 p.m. to 7:05 p.m.; James/Martin, 7:10 p.m. to 7:35 p.m.; Lincoln/Hartway, 7:40 p.m. to 8:10 p.m.; Hickory Ridge/Maple Ridge, 8:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m..
• Oswego Fire/Montgomery Police Department: Briarcliff/Red Fox Run, 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Blackberry Trail Park, 6:40 p.m. to 7:10 p.m.; Lakewood Creek Elementary, 7:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Troon/Prescott, 8:05 p.m. to 8:35 p.m..
• Sugar Grove Fire/Montgomery Police Department: McDole School, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m..
• Bristol-Kendall/Montgomery Police Department: Gordon/Thomas, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Concord/Hartfield, 7:40 p.m. to 8:30 p.m..
• Aurora Township Fire Department/Montgomery Police Department; Oak Grove Mobile Homes, 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Oakland/Jackson 6:35 p.m. to 7 p.m.; State/Melrose 7:05 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Kingston/14th 7:35 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Kimberly/Royal 8:05 p.m. to 8:30 p.m..
