National Night Out Montgomery sites listed

In conjunction with the fire departments that service Montgomery residents, the Village of Montgomery Police Department will visit seven locations throughout the community Tuesday, Aug. 1, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.. Residents are welcome to join the officers to view police cars and fire trucks, participate in activities, and more!

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes collaborative efforts of police, fire personnel, and residents to create neighborhood camaraderie, and promote safety. The event is an excellent opportunity to unite police and residents positively under favorable circumstances.

The Montgomery Police Department encourages the community to visit the stop most local to their neighborhood for activities and giveaways. The 2023 National Night Out planned visits, and schedule is:

  • Montgomery Park, 300 N. River Street, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Montgomery Fire Protection District.
  • Lakewood Creek Elementary School, 2301 Lakewood Creek Drive, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Oswego Fire District.
  • McDole School, 2901 Foxmoor Drive, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Sugar Grove Fire District.
  • Huntington Chase Park, Gordan Road and Thomas Lane, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Bristol- Kendall Fire District.

Aurora Township, three stops

  • 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Mobile Home Park
  • 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at State Street and Melrose Avenue
  • 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Amber and Park Drives
