Evening Networking Party
Aurora Business United and The Aurora Sunrise Rotary Club will have a networking Party on World Polio Day at AC’s Pub, 2124 W. Galena Boulevard, Aurora, behind Dunkin Donuts and Subway. There will be free Appetizers, a cash bar, and 10% of all purchases will go to the Polio Plus Fund to end Polio.

Aurora Lions Club To Hold Halloween Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
Aurora Noon Lions club will hold its annual pre-Halloween pancake breakfast fundraiser at Luigi’s Pizza and Fun Center, 732 Prairie Street. The public is invited to attend in Halloween costumes. The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, mini donuts, orange juice and coffee or milk. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for children three to 12 years old, and free for children two and younger.

Free Día de los Muertos
Día de los Muertos can be celebrated with face-painting, painting activities for kids, a free pumpkin to decorate and take home, candy, snacks, canvas painting expo, and information on what Día de los Muertos means. This event is sponsored by the Fox Valley Park Foundation.

Fill The Bowls
The annual fundraiser as a benefit for Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry of Aurora, will be held at Gaslite Manor, 2485 Church Road. Aurora-area restaurants and food vendors will offer samples. High school choirs, bands, and orchestras, will provide live music. Prizes will be raffled. Tickets are $35 for adults, $10 for ages six to 12 and free for five and under.

This annual beloved Veterans Day celebration will take place at Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Avenue, and is free for veterans. A catered turkey dinner will be served. The luncheon fee for non-veterans is $7. per resident and $11. per non-resident. Deadline to register is October 25.

ACC to present two plays
Aurora Central Catholic High School will stage Shakespeare plays at the school 1233 N. Edgelawn Drive. At the school, will be Shakespeare’s “The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark,” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1-2 and at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15-16, “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.” Tickets are $10 for one show or $15 for both.

The Village of Montgomery is a partner with Paramount School of the Arts in Aurora to offer free Kindermusik demo classes.
