The RiverEdge Pedestrian Bridge over the Fox River, south of New York Street, waits for the official Friday, June 11 ribbon cutting. Mayor of Aurora, Richard Irvin recently said as the Bridge Phase for Illinois closes, a new bridge phase in Aurora, will open. The Illinois Bridge to Phase 5 designation is set to end Friday. The Activate Aurora Reopening Weekend will feature a series of celebrations, including the opening ceremony for the 109th season of the Aurora Farmers Market, Saturday, June 12. The reopening of Phillips Park Zoo and all parks in Aurora will be 11 a.m. Sunday. The full reopening of Aurora City Hall to the public will be Monday. Jason Crane/The Voice
