The Village of North Aurora is in the process of updating the Veterans Memorial, at Farview Drive and Willow Way. In addition to upgrades to the memorial’s inscriptions and landscaping, one of the features of the new memorial will be a community photo wall and we need your help to make it happen.
The photo wall will be multiple panels showcasing photos of loved ones from our community members who served or are serving in the armed forces. The photos will be compiled into a collage that will be permanently displayed at the memorial.
We are asking our community to submit up to five pictures for potential display.
Photos should be submitted with the following guidelines:
•File Format: TIFF (preferred), JPG/JPEG, or PNG files
•File Name: SUBMITTER’S-LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME_PHOTO# (I.E. Doe_Jane_3.jpg)
•Emailed to: community@northaurora.orgwith the subject line of Veterans Memorial Community Photo Wall
Please note, that while we will do our best to include all submitted photos, if the photo’s resolution is too low that it will not print it will unfortunately not be able to be included. Small edits may be made to the photo in an attempt to ready it for publication. Photos are likely to be recolored for continuity of the collage.
The deadline to submit is Thursday, Sept. 3.
Submitting a photo for the memorial photo wall grants the Village permission to publish it. North Aurora residents, past and present, as well as anyone who is a part of our local North Aurora community is welcome to submit.
