Octo Street Fest is a free Fall festival for all ages Saturday, Oct. 13 in downtown Aurora. Held on Pinney Street behind New York Street’s “Restaurant Row,” Octo Street Fest will have a highlight of menu offerings from dining options. There will be music and some magic for an afternoon of wonder from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m..
The festival will offer tarot reading, magic tricks, belly dancing, and live music.
Octo Street Fest will be a showcase for the restaurants and businesses along Restaurant Row, including Endiro Coffee, Ballydoyle, Gillerson’s Grubbery, and U Samba? Cafe. My Funnel will be a visiting food truck.
Card reading by Brea will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., strolling magic with Bruce will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Mantra Belly Dance at 3 p.m., Awecoustics will perform at 4 p.m., and Saint Astro will be the headline at 5:30 p.m..
Gillerson’s Grubbery and U Samba? Cafe each will be host to food and beer tents, and Ballydoyle will have its Irish Rover serving whiskey shakeups and more drinks. Endiro Coffee will be host to a kid-friendly activity area.
A nearby mural adjacent to the festival will be ready for selfies. The Aurora Public Art commissioned painting by Bunnie Reiss under the New York Street bridge features great blue herons and the artist’s signature Eastern European design elements, according to Jen Evans, director of Aurora Public Art Commission.
Pinney Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for the event. Free parking will be available in Lot W on River Street north of New York Street.
The festival will be held rain or shine, and will be held indoors at the restaurants in the case of inclement weather.
Octo Street Fest will be presented by Aurora Downtown, a nonprofit group of downtown business and property owners in SSA #One in Aurora.
