The West Aurora Concerned Citizens Neighborhood Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15 at West Aurora Plaza 5th Ward meeting room.
This month’s meeting will be an open discussion to address any topics, concerns, or issues the group may like to address.

Alley Art Festival in Aurora Aug. 25
Alley Art Festival has become a Summer staple in downtown Aurora by bringing dozens of community artists to the pedestrian-friendly Water Street Mall on the last Saturday in August.
The eighth annual Alley Art Festival will have more than 70 artists to sell their art, jewelry, pottery, handmade goods, from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25.
Set along the recently-renovated Water Street Mall, the grassroots festival is an opportunity to meet and support Aurora area artists. It is known as a family-friendly afternoon that encourages an arts-forward community.
Live music will start at noon with The Aviators, then Anderlik, Otto, and Church at 1 p.m., Eastern Fire Belly Dance at 2 p.m., Town Band at 3 p.m., and Olivia Ports at 4 p.m..
“Alley Art Festival is going to launch a fun weekend of art and music on Water Street Mall in downtown Aurora,” said Marissa Amoni, event coordinator for Aurora Downtown.”
Sunday, Aug. 26, City of Lights Ukulele Festival, the brainchild of Aurora alderman Mike Saville will hold its inaugural event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Water Street Mall.
