Oswego Senior Center events offer varied topics

The Oswego Senior Center (OSC), 84 Templeton Drive, Oswego, will be host to many events for seniors. All events will take place at the Oswego Senior Center, unless otherwise noted. Events at the Center will require: Temperature, self-health check screen; signed waiver, face mask, and social distancing.

• COVID19 Educational Seminar

Jazmin Delgado, B.S., pharmacy intern at Walgreens will provide an educational seminar on COVID-19, Influenza and Shingles from 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 25 through Zoom or in facility. Participants can learn about the most current information on COVID-19 followed by a Q&A session. Advanced registration is required at 630-554-5602 for in-facility. There is limited seating. • Caregiver Support Group

Keith Bielema, B.S.W., of Kendall County Health Department Transitions Program will lead this monthly support group from 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 21. This group offers support, ideas, resources, and hope to those who have found themselves in a care-giving role. Limited seating. Advance registration is required at, 630-554-5602.

• Nutrition Made Easy Cooking Class

Attendees can make some cool Summer goodies for the hot weather through Zoom session with our in-house chef, Billie, 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 26 for fruit smoothies. All ages are invited!
