Outdoor seating opens up

Illinois outdoor seating at restaurants, available for the first time Friday, May 29 with the improvement in numbers of COVID-19 cases, finds variations in various communities. Outside dining is a part of O’Malley’s Pub and Eatery in Aurora.
Previous access to food throughout the State was carry-out or delivery. Residents and visitors can pick up food at restaurants and have an enjoyable setting. The plan is a part of the Restore Illinois throughout the State.

Glen Ellyn, the set-up Saturday was to create Dine on Duane in front of the community’s Civic Center at 535 Duane Street, just east of Main Street. The Dine on Duane Street will occupy the eastbound lane of Duane Street and include a 120-foot tent, picnic tables, festive lighting, and turf grass just outside the tent for additional seating.
