Paul and Bill Rudigier, father and son, pose for a photo in the early 1970s in front of Paul and Bill’s Service Station in Aurora. The station moved to 300 Galena Boulevard in 1971. Bill Rudigier took over management when his father died many years ago. Bill retired June 1 after the station was sold April 23 to Sunny Simon and Jaimon Thomas, owners of SNSK, Inc., owners of other gas stations, including Marathon Gas at the corner of Route 25 and Boulder Hill Pass. Bill and his wife, Melody, moved to the Gulf shores of Alabama. Their daughter, Marnie, is the manager, now known as 300 Galena Gas & Auto Repair. She said earlier this week, “We owe our success to out fabulous customers. (Bill) will miss the every-day connections over coffee and laughs.” Submitted photo
