Everett Schlegel of Elgin, a Pearl Harbor attack (December 7, 1941) survivor, is greeted by Jeanne Ive, Ill State representative, 42nd District, at the annual Pearl Harbor Day luncheon Monday at Gaslite Manor Banquets in Aurora. Ives, an Army veteran, was the keynote speaker at the luncheon sponsored by Aurora Navy League Council 247. For the first time, World War II veterans were honored at the event. Al Benson/The Voice
