Plano Family Center opens

The United Methodist Church of Plano is a partner with P.H. Miller Elementary School, principal Laurel Mateyka, instructional coach Brittany Pezold, family support workers Sherri Rachford and Maritza Herrera as the host site for the new “Plano Family Resource Center”. P.H. Miller is the only Preschool program in Kendall County to receive “Gold Circle of Quality” award from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).

As a congregation it our joy to offer our building at no cost. This is a beautiful illustration of how the faith community and school community can work together to strengthen our city as a whole,” the United Methodist church of Plano press release stated.

Services offered at the new Plano Family Resouce Center include a resource library, weekly playgroups, evening family events, parent workshops, developmental screenings, school readiness workshops, and more.
