Plano Rockin’ Christmas activities varied

Plano Rockin’ Christmas activities will take place the first weekend in December. Activities include sponsoring holiday dinner gift cards for families in the community, parade, Christmas music played by Plano School District bands, window decorating, and refreshments. The committee is seeking sponsors from families in the community with monetary donations for as little as $5. per person ($20 for a family of four, $30 for a family of six).

Monetary donations will be converted to gift cards to present to families in our community. You may drop off your monetary donations to any of the following locations: Patrona Cantina Grille, United Methodist Church of Plano, Old Second Bank, Grandma Rosie’s Sweet Treats, Coopers Home Furnishings, State Farm – Sonia Garcia, YMCA, Heartland Bank, Lyle’s Automotive, Ivana’s Café, Batcave Treasures, PUB 4-26, The Wash House, or Plano Quick Care.

There will room along the parade route Friday, Dec. 3. Parade line up will be 6 p.m. and parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Plano High School parking lot. The parade route: Downtown Plano, north Lakewood, south Lakewood, back to Plano south of Route 34, and end at the lot at West and John Streets (across railroad tracks near Plano Train Depot).

Decorated vehicles will help spread the holiday spirit. Donations for the Holiday Dinners Fund would be accepted during the parade. To be involved, please contact Deana at director@planocommerce.org.

There will be a gathering after the parade near the Train Depot downtown with refreshments and cookies, Christmas music by Plano grade school bands, and the presentation of the Ross Greiter Rockin’ Christmas Spirit Award.
