In the November 8 issue of The Voice, Charles Coddington wrote the article with the headline, “Truth and civility in short supply from our politicians.” He states for the past two years we are fed fake news and alternate facts. The president, Donald Trump, is the only politician he mentions about not talking civilly.
Why doesn’t he mention the names of Democrats who were uncivil in their speeches?
Democratic Party representative Maxine Waters, told the liberal crowd “Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that (White House) Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere. We have protesters taking up at their homes who are saying, ‘No peace, no sleep. No peace, no sleep,’”
Hillary Clinton told CNN viewers in an interview with Christiane Amanpour that the Democrats should embrace a more confrontational and aggressive political approach. “You can’t be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about.” The only time Democrats will be civil is when they win the House and/or the Senate.
Former attorney general, Eric H. Holder Jr., at a campaign rally said “Michelle Obama always says that, ‘When they go low, we go high.’ Instead he tells them to kick them when they go low.” Former vice president Joseph R. Biden, said he would “beat the hell” out of Mr. Trump in a fight (he later apologized). Michael Avenatti, a lawyer, challenged a member of the president’s family to a physical altercation.
Why are the Republicans and Trump’s supporters the ones who are getting attacked?
Republican senator Rand Paul was attacked last year by his socialist neighbor. Congressman Steve Scalise, the GOP’s House majority whip, was almost shot to death by an angry leftist. Fortunately, the man was killed by police before he could accomplish his plan to kill all the Republicans at a softball practice. Rudy Peters, a California Republican congressional candidate was attacked by a leftist with a knife in September. Shane Mekeland, a Republican candidate was running for the Minnesota House of Representatives was punched in the face by a leftist. He suffered a concussion.
Have you heard of any Democrats and their families being chased out of restaurants or threatened with bodily harm by mobs?
Republican senator Cory Gardner of Colorado voted for Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. His wife was sent a graphic text message with a video showing a beheading. During the Kavanaugh hearings Republican senator Ted Cruz and his wife were harassed at a restaurant by a leftist group and had to leave. Other well-known Republicans have been targeted and harassed by the leftist groups. The Department of Homeland Security secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was chased out a Mexican restaurant by left-wing activists. Outside of her home CREDO Action organized a protest and shouted “No justice, no sleep!” Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson and his family were targets of the Antifa leftist group. His property was vandalized and they were shouting slogans. His wife was terrified and alone in the house. His daughter was accosted in a restaurant. Their private information was posted on social media.
Why haven’t you heard of Democratic Party personal information being posted on social media?
The home addresses and personal phone numbers of the Republican Party Judiciary Committee members were posted online by a Democratic member who worked for senator Dianne Feinstein and Democratic representatives Maggie Hassan and Sheila Jackson. Members of Antifa, a far-left movement that DHS has labeled “domestic terrorists,” further circulated the list of ICE employees, accusing them of being Nazis.
Charles Coddington compares the president to Adolph Hitler. I suggest Coddington go back to other leaders who were uncivil in their treatment of their citizens. At least the president is not killing off Americans as did Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin, during WWII and other dictators have done during the 20th and the 21st Centuries.
I am glad that the 10 suspicious-looking packages did not go off and seriously harm or kill the critics of president Trump. The individual who killed his victims at a Jewish synagogue will pay for his crime by serving the rest of his life in prison and he will have to answer to God after he dies.
