Wayne Johnson announced to the readers of this publication he is doing a re-read of George Orwell’s classic Novel “1984.” Johnson does to this novel what subversives do to democratic societies, they turn them upside down. Johnson tells us the book has become a difficult read. He says it seems to him he is reading about “today’s America.” The first and only time I read “1984,” Orwell was warning the world about totalitarianism/communism. So Johnson has done to this novel exactly what the evil regime in the book does to its people. He flips it on its head. So censorship becomes free expression, ignorance becomes enlightenment, black is white, and today…men can become women.
Wayne seems to suggest our constitutional republic is no different than the totalitarian/communist state Orwell warned about. Wayne, our republic is on the side of civilization not tyranny. Our Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and Constitution define who we are. You and “The Chas” are two peas in a pod. You’re for destroying our individual liberties and want it to be replaced by a collectivist society. Your views align with the (DSA) Democratic Socialists of America, even as they dismantle the very party that created them…the Democratic Party.
Dear reader, have you looked at the platform of the DSA lately? First on their agenda is the dismantling of our government starting with the Senate. The Supreme Court would be next along with the Executive Branch and the presidency. The House of Representatives would be kept. And that legislative body would pick our presidents. The people would no longer participate in that process. The DSA would open our borders again allowing tens of millions more illegals into our country as we are forced to share our wealth with the world. Police departments and prisons would be eliminated. No more cops, no more prisons with the exception of interrogation rooms and the cells holding political prisoners for the re-education of those who don’t fall in line with the new order. The Constitution would be scrapped along with our individual liberties contained in the Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. Objective truth would be eliminated. Iran and their terrorist proxies such as Hamas would be good, and Israel bad. And if you didn’t realize men could become women or become pregnant, you would be re-educated to a new biology. If you believed 2 + 2 = 4, you would be labeled a subversive racist and re-educated.
Orwell wasn’t warning the world about Roosevelt, DeGaul, Churchill or democratic republics. The threats Orwell was concerned about were Stalin, Lenin, Trotsky, totalitarianism, communism and countries like North Korea, Iran, and the former Soviet Union.
Zohran Mamdani, Hasan Piker, and Graham Platner are more recent tyrants Orwell would have warned us about.
Today, Orwell would be warning us about the Democratic Socialists of America chanting “From the River to the Sea,” a cry calling for the genocide of the Jewish nation, Israel. This was their chant after 1,200 Israelis were tortured, raped and murdered October 7, 2023. The victims of the attack, the Israelis, were the ones labeled murderers by the DSA for defending themselves against Hamas. The reaction of the DSA and the left was to condemn Israel for attacking Hamas.
The actions of the democratic socialists will turn our country into a dystopia. Iran, a regime that murdered 40,000 of their own citizens and funded terrorism everywhere, is being defended by the DSA. Donald Trump and the Americans who voted for him are considered the villains. Today, Johnson will tell you the U.S., a free enterprise constitutional republic, is the villain Orwell was warning us about.
