Reader’s Commentary: Results required to improve Lakewood Springs Club

Plano, Ill.

At Lakewood Springs Valued Club, I was elected to the Homeowners Association (HOA) Board one month ago. I still don’t see urgency by the Realmanage employee who handles our Club business. I was at the clubhouse several times last week. The pool is still very dirty at the bottom and the employees who are supposed to be cleaning it, aren’t keeping up with the schedule. That worries me that the testing of the water isn’t being properly done. I want every Club member to be safely enjoying the pool.

Please speak up and call me if you feel like the water isn’t up to cleanliness standards, because every time I’m there, it’s dirty. I’ve yet to see it look as good as it should be. The landscaping around the clubhouse looks horrible. Why hasn’t the grass and weeds been cut yet. The guests who were having the party at the Clubhouse asked me why it looked so bad. That’s embarrassing!! How can the H.O.A. be giving citations for yellow grass when the clubhouse looks worse than the Club members’ homes. The only reason I’m posting this notice to the Club members and in The Voice is because I was told by the Realmanage employee (Loree King) that I must screen through the president of the H.O.A. which is B.S.! So much for transparency! Hiding isn’t going to work for the Club members. If she’s in charge of all this, can you please ask her to do her job, accordingly.

If not, I’m asking the Board to replace Realmanage. If the Board can’t come to an agreement and fix the problems, then I will lobby the Lakewood Springs Club members to demand Realmanage removal. If we can’t get results for services, we need new management, or just as I said previously when I ran for this position, I will ask the members to defund the HOA all together. Please feel free to reach out to me. I’m always available to Club members. Just because its a volunteers job doesn’t mean I ignore the members. I want real results from so- called Realmanage and its employee! If you want to reach out directly, direct all complaints to: Loree King, CMCA, AMS RealManage Illinois Resident Services. Thank you.
