Dear editor;
In the June 30 edition of The Voice, Deena Sherman wrote “Change in Roe v. Wade requires understanding and action.” She mentions “The God of the Christian Faith does not work through the law, but through the Gospel of salvation through grace.” God does deal with his children through his law. The Ten Commandments are his laws for us to obey and live by.
God gave us the 5th commandment. He does not want us to kill another person, even if that person is an unborn baby.
She stated “God granted his creation free will, in the hope that humanity freely would seek to align with the divine will. If it is legislated, it misses that important point.” What important point is being missed? What is God’s will for his unborn children in the wombs of their mothers?
Is it His will for mothers and fathers to kill the life that is growing in the mother’s wombs? The unborn babies do not have a choice at all in abortion. I guess it is God’s will for the unborn to be kill in abortion. I guess she and all the other pro-abortion people want to prevent the unborn to live and grow up and contribute significantly to society by researching the terrible diseases affecting humanity around the world.
How many babies have been aborted that could have found cures for some cancers, dementia and Alzheimer’s and other serious diseases? Only God knows how many more lives would have been improved by the research and cures for billions of people around the world.
Do you know if you kill a pre-born sea turtle, you get a fine of $100,000 and one year in prison? If you kill a pre-born bald eagle, the fine is $250,000 and two years in prison. If you kill a pre-born human being: No penalty. That is absurd and insane!
Do you know what God’s justice will be for killing a pre-born human being? After you die, God will tell you what his mercy and justice will be for you.
Sincerely,
Theresa McCormick, Aurora
