Dear editor;
Those who advocate the legalization of recreational marijuana are either users or grossly uneducated in the affect that this drug has on the human body.
It impairs judgment and slows reaction time. It continues even after use is discontinued. Driving under the influence of this drug creates a hazard to the driver and any innocent driver who happens to be in the vicinity.
The immediate thought of politicians who advocate legalization is the expectation of revenue that would be generated by taxing the sale and use.
All parties seem to forget that this drug is still illegal under federal law. You still can be prosecuted for possession with intent to use or sell.
