Dear editor;
In The Voice June 30 edition there was another emotional rant by the same person who has had her liberal views published in the Reader’s Voice several times. This diatribe regarded the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision on abortion that returned abortion decisions to the states and to the people. It cited correctly that our Constitution is silent on abortion.
In another tirade she attacked former president Donald Trump and the justices who voted in the majority. She continued with a harangue of assertions with no factual or legal basis, e.g. millions of women would “lose fundamental rights of their bodies.” It continued with a stream of unconsciousness that was difficult to follow because arguments based on emotion are hard to follow.
Permit me to cite an opposing view. There are many of us who think abortion, outside of rape, incest, and a woman’s life at stake, is murder. Medical science, since the original Burns & Roe decision nearly 50 years ago, has shown conclusively that 100% of all DNA for human life exists immediately after conception. Hence, abortion is clearly the taking of a human life. Our Constitution never guaranteed abortions. Can you see Founding Fathers discussing abortion in 1776?
The liberal left would murder humans, even after birth, as was attempted in Virginia.
So, if The Voice would be so kind, please only publish letters from rational folks who use sound facts, science, law, and other bases upon which to present views. Many of us are tired of the emotional garbage coming from the left. We are tired of the left’s dividing us like a roll of salami. We are all Americans and should be proud of it. Some of us even fought in wars to preserve real freedoms in this wonderful country.
