Circumstances caused by the COVID-19 led to the development of the Relief Coalition in Aurora with the slogan of “For the People, By the People” and two volunteers placing boxes of food into the back of a vehicle last week. The aim is to help those in need of assistance. Layoffs, propelled by individuals staying inside because of the coronavirus causing sickness, hospitalization, and death world-wide, and limiting employment, pushes volunteers into action. The Relief Coalition, which seeks financial assistance, will purchase food for distribution each Tuesday at the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry on Highland Avenue in Aurora. Jason Crane/The Voice
