Lift Every Voice and Sing by young singers from Cathedral of Grace St. John Church sign singers perform at the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration at East Aurora High School Monday.

Mayor of Aurora, Richard C. Irvin’s 2019 Service Above Self Awards were presented to 58 youth during Aurora’s annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration, Monday, Jan. 21, 2019 at East Aurora High School.
The award is for students who go above and beyond to be of service in school and in the community.
Students from Naperville North High School’s Power Up Project we’re honored for building and donating 6 computers to the Simply Destinee youth dance group. A video of the honorees can be seen by clicking here.
