An appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus Wednesday, Dec. 20 highlighted Wesley United Methodist Church’s Wednesday Night Gathering event in Aurora.
The biweekly event featured a free ham dinner, Santa reading “Santa’s Favorite Story” and cookie and ornament decorating.
Pastor Tammy Scott provided Santa’s book, one of her childhood favorites, for Santa to read. He answered children’s questions during and after his reading.
Wesley holds Wednesday Night Gathering events on the first and third Wednesdays. Included are a free dinner and family activity. The Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024 event will open at 6 p.m. at the church, 14 N. May Street in Aurora.
The public is invited. Admission and parking are free.
