Sara Simeunovic tells the members of the Aurora Sunrise Rotary Club last week about the difficulties that 70% of Haitians have in getting health care, and what Haiti Healthcare Partners are doing to help. The group has put together a medical team, all Haitians, to serve those who live in the small villages deep in the hills and jungle far from any city where health care is readily available to the citizens.

The medical team is made up of a doctor, nurses, midwives, a pharmacist, and an ambulance driver. They work in a small building they call the hospital. The ambulance doubles as a mobile hospital to service residents who can not get to the home base. Sara is very proud of the Haitian health care team that is on call 24/7 to serve the health care needs of the very poor in rural Haiti.
