Scouting America, Three Fires Council took up the fight to end hunger through the Scouting for Food initiative. Scouting for Food is an annual food drive run by Scouting America Councils all over the country.
Three Fires Council has been hard at work and collected food for the needy, with 28,476 food items. That’s enough food to feed 250 families for one week. Partnering with nearly 20 food banks from all over Kane, DuPage, Kendall, and DeKalb County, Scouting for Food in Three Fires Council ran from March 1 through March 16 with more than 60 units and 600 youth collecting food for the hungry.
