Senior food assistance in Aurora

Free frozen meals Monday for seniors 60 years and older provide food assistance in a drive-thru program at the Aurora Police Department to those who registered. The next similar drive-thru will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28 following registration which will close at noon Friday, Sept. 25. The next event will return to the Aurora Police Department, 1200 E. Indian Trail, Aurora. The event, open to Kane County residents, was sponsored by State representatives Barbara Hernandez and Stephanie Kifowit. The Kane County Senior Council was one of the sponsors. There may be additional events in October.
