• Smallville SUPERFEST Book Sale, Friday, Aug. 17 – Saturday, Sept. 1
The Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held in the meeting room during regular library hours. After August 25 all items will be sold for $4. a bag, and VHS tapes and audio cassettes will be free.
Kids events:
• Plano Rocks! Talent Showcase, Tuesday, July 31, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m..
Whatever the talent, sign up to perform at the talent showcase. Acts limited to three minutes each. Note: no lip syncing or singing with recorded vocals. For independent students entering grades first through ninth. Registration required.
• Music & Movement, Monday, Aug. 6, 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., or, 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m..
Favorite music and movement activities will be present. Kids will get to use simple musical instruments, play with a parachute, and more. Be prepared to move and groove! For children 0-5 only, with a grown-up. Older siblings may wait in the Kids’ Library during the program. Call 630-552-2025 to register.
• Pizza & Pages, Tuesday, Aug. 7, 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 9, 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m..
