The Greater Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry will be host to its first Souper Bowl fundraiser as a virtual event at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4. Tickets are on sale now at aurorafoodpantry.org. Attendees will be among the first to meet the new Executive Director, and can bid on live and silent auction items. Sponsorship opportunities ranging from $500 to $10,000 are available to both individuals and organizations.
Proceeds from the event will support the Pantry’s mission to provide access to fresh, healthy food to more than 53,000 families.
“This fundraiser is a critical part of ensuring that Pantry is in a strong place to meet the needs of our community in 2021,” said Zaida Rodriguez, interim executive director. “Your support helps hungry children, hardworking parents struggling to make ends meet, seniors on a fixed income, and others impacted by the COVID-19 crisis in the greater Aurora area.
The Food Pantry employs a food rescue program, food bank partnership and a strong sense of fiscal responsibility to make all donations go as far as possible. For every $10 donated, the Pantry will provide $80 worth of food.
