St. George Byzantine Catholic Church is hosting a Spring Icon Painting Workshop April 20-25. This instructor-led workshop with master iconographer, Phillip Zimmerman, will take place at the Church, 720 Rural Street in Aurora. The icon to be written is St. Cecilia, Patroness of Musicians. Painting and presentations will be held each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..
The $300 registration fee includes a week of classes, all art supplies, and an authentic icon board and is due before the end of the first class April 20 (cash, is preferred or a check, payable to St. George Byzantine Church). Interested participants do not have to be parishioners of St George.
