St. Peter Catholic School in Aurora will celebrate its 87-year legacy of teaching our children academics, faith, and citizenship Sunday, May 20. As we prepare to close our doors in June and consolidate our school with St. Therese of Jesus, Our Lady of Good Counsel, and St. Joseph, all in Aurora, into Pope Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy, we want to celebrate our long history and tradition of providing an outstanding Catholic education for our children.
We will begin the day with mass at St. Peter Church at 9:30 a.m.. After mass we will go to the school for refreshments. While enjoying the refreshments we’ll be sharing memories, laughs, and a few tears as we all reminisce about the wonderful experiences that St. Peter School has provided for us and our children over the years. St. Peter School faithfully has served the Aurora Community for 87 years, and as we look back we know St. Peter School has made a difference.
This celebration is open to all St. Peter alumni, parishioners, students, and friends. We invite all of you to come and share your memories. If you have any memorabilia, pictures, stories, bring them along!
In addition to displaying many of our school treasures, we will be auctioning off old trophies, athletic jerseys, and other items.
Call the school if you have questions, or if you would like to attend at 630-892-1283.
