Saturday, June 18, Illinois State representative Stephanie Kifowit, fourth from left, was host to her annual Shred and Recycle Event in the Waterford Parking Lot on Montgomery Road in Aurora. A steady stream of cars was greeted by a large team of volunteers as people dropped off bags of paper for shredding. Electronic items were collected for recycling and prescription medications were gathered for safe disposal.
