Students share Helping Hands experience with Aurora Sunrise Rotary Club:

Students share at Sunrise: Nearly a dozen Waubonsee Community College students spent their Spring break in Houston with “Helping Hands and Hearts” a group helping to rehab homes damaged by hurricane Harvey that devastated Houston two years ago. The group shared its experience with members of the Aurora Sunrise Rotary Club recently at Mother's Pancake House in Aurora. The Club helped finance the trip. The students talked about the long hours, the skills they learned, their sore muscles, the devastation they saw, the suffering of the inhabitants, and most important, the fun they had as a group, and the good feeling they had about what they did. The Club members expressed their appreciation and admiration for the students who spent their Spring break to help those in real need.
