The Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce is working to assist local business owners and other institutions during this challenging time. Retaining membership is a key goal, while working to determine future ways to serve in the recovery process is an ongoing dialogue. The Chamber would like to reach out to the community and ask what services would be most beneficial for local business owners. “Ideas for programs that can be conducted virtually are particularly welcomed,” stated Jacqueline Link, president of the Chamber and branch manager of Old Second Bank in Sugar Grove. “Driving the Chamber forward to help our community is a key goal of the Board.”

More grant opportunities for local business and non-profits is currently under discussion on State and National levels. The website for Kane County Coronavirus Relief Fund is being monitored for future grant opportunities offered to small business and non-profits. As opportunities are identified, the Chamber will provide information on their home page.

A local business directory is available on the Chamber website to help identify vendors for products and services, and you may inquire with the Chamber if you are in need of information. Currently the Business Connections networking group is meeting online, and future virtual meetings and programs will be highlighted in the electronic newsletter or on the web page. You may contact Bo Smith, at albertbosmith1@gmail.com, Business Connections coordinator, for more information.
