Los Straitjackets, the fastest surf rock band in the West, will bring its sights and sounds to The Venue at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27. Formed in Nashville, Tenn., Los Straitjackets jumped the surf rock craze that was revitalized post-Pulp Fiction. Though the band is not limited to surf rock, its music resonated. One show early in the band’s career, the members decided to wear matching suits, Aztec medallions, and personalized Mexican wrestling masks. The crowd went wild! A tradition was born.

Fifteen albums and two live albums have seen the band travel the land and light up audiences from Coast to Coast. Los Straitjackets will be live and outside in Mundy Park Friday, Aug. 27. Tickets are available now; GA terrace $30, GA lawn $25. All prices are increased by $5 at the door.
