Taps played for interment of Ken Van Kley of Montgomery at Spring Lake Cemetery

Taps was played by a staff member from the Great Lakes Naval Station at the interment of Ken Van Kley of Montgomery at Spring Lake Cemetery Tuesday, Dec. 6. Van Kley served the Navy in Vietnam on a LST on the Mekong River. He worked at Caterpillar and helped in the building of Wayside Cross Ministries’s downtown facility as an “owner’s representative.”. He helped his church, First Presbyterian Church – Aurora, as chairman of the buildings and grounds team. Ken is survived by his loving wife Karen, his two sons, Brian (Karlee) and David, and his two grandchildren, Cooper and Shelby. John Ross photo
