There are those people upon whom the sun will shine,
Regardless of the circumstance, or so it seems.
From your standpoint, their problems always come out fine,
While yours, too often, seems to wallow in your dreams.
That this is supposition doesn’t mean a thing;
As far as you’re concerned, it has to be a fact.
You cite examples of what you saw taking wing,
And will not listen to the evidence it lacked.
Quite often, we will see just what we want to see,
And, since we see it that way, it must be right on.
How many times in life do we, in what should be,
Insist we see it differently, to fawn upon?
