Kane County Sheriff, Don Kramer, discusses the Heroin Highway at the Kiwanis Club of Aurora Tuesday at the Prisco Center in Aurora. Highways heading west from the West Side of Chicago, a central hub, are known as the Heroin Highway. Kramer answered questions and explained how law enforcement is working to stem the tide of the illegal drug coming into Kane County. He said heroin is more dangerous with drug dealers who add fentanyl. He explained how narcan has helped to save many lives.
