Just like everybody else, members of the Fox Valley Therapy Dog Club are working within protocols so that youngsters may meet with four legged friends, hospital staff members will receive comfort and reading programs for children which will, in a small way, return to local libraries. Going forward within a partial schedule of visiting and by using safety protocols the comfort dog teams are excited to return to visitation after time off.

Beginning in 2002 the members of the club have been making a difference one paw at a time. Actually it is the team of four paws and two legs that make the difference, to visit in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and when a need arises.

The Fox Valley Therapy Dog Club recently has certified seven new dog teams which are collaborating with some veterans on these visits. There would be room for others to join in sharing special canine companions. To learn more on the visits please go to fvtherapydogs.org.
