Other than on our way to happy holidays, we have various important notes we want provide special space:
•The outdoor scene on the eve of cold Winter is essential. Unmanned kayaks equipped with sie-scanning gathering data in the dark of night at the Nature Conservancy in Illinois’ TNC) Emiquon Preserve could be a game-changer in wetlands invasive-carp management, including the potential largescale removal of silver, highhead, and elusive common carp. U.S. Geological survey includes using semi-autonomous kayaks to provide for Emiquon, a wetland outdoor laboratory. We were not fishing for an article, or, research, however, we seek to cover both the highly-usual story and a remote, off-beaten path in news and information.
•Several churches in Aurora held services recently to pray for peace. Essential, however, we require more than prayer We must have many willing participants on all levels.
•Batavia released information recently for Citizens of the Year. We endorse such a noble effort many communities to endorse. Dave and Marge Brown were named the 2023 Batavia Citizens of the Year. The Spirit Batavia is involved. When we have more space we can provide information for such a noble award. Everyone is served by such an award.
•CASA Kane County is a leading advocate for children in the foster care, especially worthy as we approach Christmas and its meaning for many children. The CASA Kane County Holiday Giving Program ensure that every child in the foster care program receives a special gift during the holiday season. The over arching goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect and entered the foster-care system. Noble and important.
•We can all think of some person, child or adult who can receive a benefit from assistance, financial, social, or, a kind word at the least, especially at Christmas. Think of the meaning. Stop and think for a short while how we can be beneficial to a person. Special meaning may mean more to a person than we realize!
