Agape Connection, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, will be host to its 21st annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day celebration, virtually, starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 16.

The celebration program honoring the late civil rights leader will feature as guest speaker the Rev. Dr. Alton B. Pollard, III, president of the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky..

He is a scholar, author, consultant, and speaker about African American and U. S. religion and culture.

Since 1991, Agape Connection, Inc., has been providing educational, cultural, and other initiatives that have an impact on the children and youth of the western suburbs. For the last decade, Agape has accomplished its mission by developing and implementing cultural and educational programming for youth and children through various initiatives. As society transforms into an even more diverse atmosphere in the 21st Century, Agape intends to prepare young people to be leaders who are knowledgeable, appreciative, and tolerant of a variety of cultural expressions.
