Used Book Sale aim: Donation of books for Yorkville Public Library

The Friends of the Yorkville Public Library is excited to to hold its annual Used Book Sale this year! Last year’s event was canceled because of the pandemic, and this year’s sale will be better than ever.

This great fundraiser has brought in more than $56,000 for the Library. With help, we can add to this total. Money raised by the sale goes directly to the support the Yorkville Library.

The Used Book Sale will be held during Hometown Days, Saturday, Sept. 4 and Sunday, Sept. 5. The sale features books for all ages in hard cover and paperback, as well as DVDs and audio books. All items are priced $.50 – $2.00.

The group is looking for donations of gently-used books of all types. Paperbacks, hardcover, and books for adults and children all are accepted. All books should be brought to the main desk at the Library.

The Friends of the Yorkville Library is a volunteer group of individuals focused on supporting and promoting the services and programs of the Library. Membership information is available at the Library and on the Library’s home page. The Friends meet the second Monday of each month at 10:15 a.m. at the Library.
