Chapel on the Green in Yorkville will be host to its annual Veterans’ Appreciation program Sunday, Nov. 12.
Veterans in the communities will be speakers on their time in the service of our country beginning at 2 p.m.. Doors will be open at 1 p.m. for visiting or viewing military memorbilia.
The program will be followed by refreshments and time to visit and tour the historic building at 107 West Center Street, Yorkville.
Any veteran, or, active military personnel who would like to share experiences is invited to volunteer and join the program. Call Carol at 630-553-5163, if interested.
Built in 1855 as the Yorkville Congregational Church, Chapel on the Green is listed on the Natinal Register of Historic Places. The buildng is used for community meetings, programs, and is available as a wedding venue. It is operated by the Chapel on the Green NFP.
