The Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry and Urban Farm will be host to a Veterans Gardening Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7 at 834 N. Highland Avenue in Aurora. Thomas St. Jules, Marie Wilkiinson Food Pantry Board member, will be the emcee for the event. There will be noon dedications. Executive director Diane Renner will give closing remarks. Cake will follow in celebration of the late Marie Wilkinson’s 113th birthday. World War II Navy veteran Dick Miller will give the pledge of allegiance. Fox Valley Marines will post the colors.
