The Village of Montgomery received a certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting for fiscal year 2017. State law and the Illinois Municipal Code require the Village to post the audit report and management letter on the website.

• A proclamation for Breast Cancer Awareness Month was read by trustee Theresa Sperling.

• Wednesday, Oct. 3, members of Local 150 ratified the a three-year labor agreement by a unanimous vote.

• Rick Radde, director of Public Works, said Village well number 15 next to the Montgomery Police Department on Route 30, went off line; a subsequent inspection by the Water Division personnel and Layne Christensen confirmed that the pump and motor need to be removed from the well to properly determine the cause of the failure. The estimated cost for this work is $80,000.
